Fresh out of the barn after many years of rest. I took it over to Amigo Bob aka (Bob's Motor Werks in Roberts, Montana) to freshen it up a little. The chair I bought down in Taft, California from the Harley Davidson dealer. At the time I rode a 1956 flat head KR (Sportster). I finally bought a XLCH engine for it in '69 and charged off up to Alaska with all my gear intending to homestead up there. Alaska was almost all gravel roads before the pipeline went in, so it was an exiting trip for sure. The hack is a Pop Dreyer rig and the Harley dealer had all the mounting hardware (it was his hack and was on his Sportster) to hook it up. I of course had never ridden a hack and when we got it all attached he jumped in the saddle and gave me a ride in "MY" new rig. WOW what a ride he gave me. It about scared the you know what out of me when he 'flew' me around town and drifted the corners. I ended up selling the Harley and buying this 1960 R50 and mounted the hack on it. It only had 12K on the bike and I suppose it has roughly 20K on it now. 

Back on the road to the BMW Nationals in Gillette, Wyo with Micah.

Then I started adding to the 'pack' with this R80GS from Colorado

With a new R100GS Red tank, it is now called the "Bloodhound"Thanks Keith for the name. 

Then I added this R80GS from Wisconsin

Then things started getting crazy and I ended up with this pack of dogs in my front yard. 
Only seven, so far.....

I bought a nice 1984 BMW R80ST as well as a new never installed sidecar to put on it. 

That was so much fun I decided to mount it instead on my old Yellow Dog R100GSPD which give it a little more power and also frees up the ST for road work which it loves.

These posts are the result of my adventures since we sold the farm on the Tongue River and I took to the road. It is  a way for me to keep track of myself of where I have been and what I have seen and experienced along the way. I have been learning along the way with the new Dell laptop computer I bought for the trip. I cant guarantee that it will all make sense or that I have things in the right order here. On 2-10-04 I bought a Cannon A60 camera and some of the posts after that date have photos on the page. I am still learning about the size and quality of photos for the web so some pages may be slow to load while most should be fairly fast. The descriptions of what you might find at the link to the individual logs may or may not be accurate, they were quick notes as I went along. If you find anything politically incorrect or in error, try to overlook it, or stuff it, your choice. Comments and feedback always appreciated.
